Job Description


The Senior Marketing Specialist is a relationship management role responsible for developing and managing marketing campaigns and programs in support of corporate growth targets. Reporting to the Orbit Marketing Manager, the role is responsible for the implementation of annual marketing plans by engaging key stakeholders, managing corresponding budgets and supporting change and innovation.

  • Develops and manages acquisition and retention campaigns in order to meet sales and renewal targets for the Home & Auto Insurance line of business. 
  • Completes forecasting, ongoing monitoring and adjustments to plan where required to optimize spend and maximize profitability (COA, ROI).
  • Develops and executes marketing plans to support Orbit Insurance Services (Orbit).
  • Manages relationships with key stakeholders such as Sales/Service, Corporate Communications, Privacy, Web and Innovation team to ensure projects are kept on schedule and sales processes are aligned for reporting purposes.
  • Drives optimal customer experience through continuous improvement testing, segmentation, personalization and leveraging customer insights.
  • Manages member lead nurturing journeys via online quoters, websites and email platforms.
  • Ensures marketing content on corporate websites, microsites and online quoters is up to date and works to optimize through A/B testing and improved member journeys.   
  • Manages regular reporting schedules for campaign results and facilitates post campaign analysis for campaign initiatives.
  • Subject matter expert on marketing campaign insights to ensure proper integration of findings.
  • Develops creative briefs to launch marketing campaigns and projects effectively and efficiently and assists in managing the design, production and communication of new and existing Orbit products and services.
  • Identifies and integrates emerging and alternative acquisition channels aimed at improving acquisition effectiveness.
  • Manages third party vendors to ensure SOWs and other contracts are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring all legal risks are mitigated, attaining all legal compliance necessary to run marketing activity (ex. Contests, CASL compliance, etc.).
  • Leads the research and proofreading of both digital and traditional marketing materials (including brochures, buckslips, presentations, social, articles, event assets, etc.) to meet intended business goals and ensure consistency and integrity of the Orbit brands.
  • Maintains marketing program budget.
  • Performs other duties within competence, as assigned.



Qualifications


  • A university degree in business, marketing or a related subject.
  • Five years of marketing and data-driven decision-making experience.
  • Experience developing creative briefs, managing creative process with superior project and time management experience to deliver on campaigns and goals.
  • Proven track record in creating and executing successful multi-channel campaign plans.
  • Strong marketing/sales acumen and campaign forecasting.
  • Intermediate analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding and familiarity working within corporate brand guidelines.
  • Experience in research and benchmarking techniques and understanding data.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, industry and trends is considered an asset.
  • The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
